  22. Digital Almanac V39.9 requires the unpacked data archive of "DAlmanac_Data.lha" V39.5 !!

  25. Digital Almanac is a new program for hobby astronomers (and professionals ?).

  29. * Complete SAO star catalog (258998 stars).
  30. * Complete Messier and NGC-Catalog (ca. 8000 deep-sky objects).
  31. * IC-Catalog (ca. 5000 objects).
  32. * Other 2000 deep-sky objects from different catalogs.
  33. * About 35000 minor planets and asteroids as well as the
  34.   Comets Halley, Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp.
  35. * Highly accurate calculation of Moon and planets with JPL's
  36.   integration tables (DE404).
  37.   (Accuracy partly <0.1'' over a period of some thound years !!).
  38. * Textures for five planets.
  39. * Moons of Jupiter and Saturn.
  40. * Milky way structure.
  41. * View the sky from outside Earth.
  42. * Animation mode (also saving in IFF-ANIM format !!).
  43. * Loading and saving of configuration files.
  44. * Highly optimized algorithms for maximum speed, mostly written in assembler.
  45. * Lots of configuration possibilities.
  46. * Online and menu help with HELP-key and MUI's bubblehelp.
  47. * Printing of ephemeris tables.
  48. * CyberGfx High- and Truecolor mode support.
  49. * Picture galery creation.
  50. * User configurable database of orbital elements.

  57. THIS PROGRAM IS SHAREWARE!

  59. Following features are restricted for non registered users:
  60. * All save functions are disabled.
  61. * No hardcopy.
  62. * No changing site to a different planet, only Earth enabled.
  63. * No viewing course of eclipses.
  64. * No picture galery.
  65. * Plotting stars only to 6m.
  66. * Plotting other objects only to 15m.
  67. * No changing of pixelsize.
  68. * No events in the calendar.
  69. * The program will terminate after ca. 20 min and all 5 min a requester will appear.

  71. However, you still have full access to all catalogs to give you an idea of
  72. what the program can do !

  80. * Fixed a bug with Earth shadow.
  81.   The flag "Earth shadow" was not recognized.
  82. * Fixed a heavy bug in calculating Earth's axis.
  83.   RA/Decl. angles were useless for dates in the far past or future.
  84. * Fixed a bug in calculating milky way and constellation borders.
  85.   Precession matrix was used in wrong way.
  86. * Added window "Orbital elements".
  87. * Added night palette.
  88. * Data archive updated to V39.5.
  89. * Improved Jupiter texture.
  90. * Calculation of star and deep-sky object positions is a little bit faster now.
